Jack A. Youngs, age 94, of Clearwater, FL, formerly of New Haven, passed away peacefully in his home on March 8, 2010. He was born on March 4, 1916 in New Haven to the late Herbert and Winifred Clineman Youngs. He proudly served in the US Army during WWII. He retired as chief news photographer for Channel 8 in New Haven, capping a 30 year career there. An active member in the community before moving to Florida, he was a volunteer Fireman for Arctic Co., a member of Motion Picture Arts and Science, Professional Photographers Assoc. and NABET. Mr. Youngs is survived by his companion Bess DeBeck. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by his wife Lillian Banks Youngs, brothers Earl and Herbert Youngs and sister Miriam Youngs. A funeral service will be held in Mary Taylor Memorial United Methodist Church, 168 Broad St., Milford on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 9:00am. Interment will follow in Kings Highway Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
