Richard A. Hoyt, Sr., age 70 of Milford, passed away August 5, 2018. Richard was born in Milford, January 7, 1948, son of the late Lawrence W. Hoyt, Sr. and Marie F. Bombadieri Hoyt. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked for Pierce Corell as a machinist for many years until his retirement. He is survived by his children Richard A. Hoyt, Jr., Lorie Hoyt-Poulin, Jennifer Ceccarelli, and Carlie O’Connor, 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, his sister Joyce Pagano, and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Janice Jessel Hoyt, his brother Lawrence W. Hoyt, Jr., and his sister Patricia Anderson. Calling hours will be held Sunday August 12, 2018 from 2pm to 5pm at Smith Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford. Funeral services will be held Monday August 13, 2018 at 9:30am at Mary Taylor Memorial United Methodist Church, Broad St., Milford. Interment with full military honors will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Milford.
