William J. Everett, age 88 of Milford, beloved husband of Sally Grady Everett, passed away May 14, 2017 in Milford Hospital. William was born in Athol, MA, April 27, 1929, son of the late Russell and Doris Levesque Everett. He worked as a mechanic specializing in transmissions for Steven’s Ford of Milford for many years until his retirement. He was also a parishioner of Mary Taylor Church of Milford, the past president of the Universal Ships Cancellation Society, and the Connecticut Yankees Drum and Bugle Corps. Besides his wife, he is survived by his son, William J. Everett, Jr. of Milford; his sister, Lois Pompano of Naugatuck; his son-in-law Rev. Joseph Piccirillo of Avon; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Sandra Piccirillo. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday May 23, 2017 at 11 AM in Smith Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford with Pastor Brian Bodt officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Stratford. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 10 AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 538 Preston Ave., Meriden, CT 06450.
