Ruth M. Seymour, age 83 of Milford, beloved wife of the late Edward C. Seymour, Jr, passed away April 23, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Ruth was born in Bridgeport, January 2, 1934, daughter of the late Chester A. and Gladys Aitken Walsh. Ruth was a parishioner of Christ the Redeemer Church of Milford and was a longtime volunteer of the Milford Senior Center. She is survived by her daughter, Cindylee Roberto and her husband Fred of Sebastian, FL; her sons, Edward C. Seymour, III and his wife Beverly of Hamden and Chester “Chet” Seymour and his wife Carolyn of West Haven; her 8 grandchildren, Marcy Ogden and her husband Brian, Samantha Roberto, Sara Cooper and her husband Rich, Kelly Shellnutt and her husband Brian, Edward C. Seymour, IV and his wife Pamela, Erin Seymour, Patrick Seymour and Shannon Seymour; her 4 great grandchildren, Charlotte and Blake Cooper and Bryce and Lilly Shellnutt; her sisters, Roseanne Kubicko, Gladys Brown and her husband Paul Sr., and Carol Cooney, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, Ruth Dean; her brother, James Walsh; and her sister, Jean Miller. Calling hours will be held Friday April 28th from 4 pm to 7 pm in the Smith Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford. Funeral services will be held prior to the visitation at 3:30 pm. Interment will be private.
