Wilfred John Miller, Jr, age 77, of Milford passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016 in his home. Mr. Miller was born on June 3, 1939 in Flushing, NY to the late Wilfred and Anna Agnes Kuebler Miller, Sr. Before retiring as an instructor from Porter and Chester Institute, he was a self-employed Heating and Air Conditioning Specialist. A dedicated father, grandfather and great grandfather, he is survived by his daughters Kim Cortina and her husband Brenden of Milford, Darleen Miller and Wendy Mezzanotte and her husband Richard all of Trumbull, his grandchildren Kristi, Jamie, Nicole, Nicholas, Joseph and Mark, five great grandsons, sister Patricia Mickiewicz and her husband Ronald of Oxford, brother-in-law George Dickerson and his wife Fran of Newtown, mother of his daughters Edythe Miller, Godchildren Lia Donahue and Ron Mickiewicz, and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his loving partner of many years Arlene Buckwalter of Milford and her daughters Sarah Scionti and her husband Louis and Meghan Buckwalter.
Calling hours are Monday, November 28, 2016 from 5pm to 7pm at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 N Broad St., Milford. A Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, November 29th in the funeral home at 10am. Entombment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
