Raymond B. Emmons Jr., age 73, of Milford, beloved husband of Judith (Sekelsky) Emmons for 53 years, passed away on Wednesday May 29, 2013, in Milford Hospital. He was born in Milford, on November 12, 1939, son of the late Raymond B. Sr. and Grace (Moeller) Emmons. One of the Burwell family descendants of the founders of Milford. Raymond was a Tool & Die maker and manufacturing engineer. He owned and operated the R.E. Tool Company. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and gardening.In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children Raymond (Diana) Emmons III of Maine, Linda Emmons (Douglas) Morse of Milford, a sister Carol (Bill) Springsteen and brother Douglas (Corliss) Emmons both of Milford, grandchildren Raymond, Douglas, Dannielle, Kevin and Shelley, great grandchildren Kadin, Kamrin and Carter, several nieces and nephews. A wake will be held Sunday June 2, 2013 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. A funeral home prayer service will be held Monday at 10:30am with the Rev. Cynthia Knapp officiating. Interment will follow in Kings Highway Cemetery Milford. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of ones choice.
