Obituary for Pauline Brancato

Pauline Joan Brancato, age 87, formerly of Milford Connecticut and Queens Village NY, passed away at the Willows Nursing Home in Woodbridge Connecticut on Sunday, April 19th, 2020. She was born on September 9th, 1932 to the late Salvatore Sapia and Rose Giarrusso Sapia at their home located in Jamaica Queens, NY.

Pauline was one of four children. She Graduated from Jamaica High School and became a Hairdresser. She married Sebastian Thomas Brancato in 1955 and moved to Queens Village NY in 1956. She had two children, Paula and Anthony. Pauline and Sam lived most of their later years in Milford Connecticut.

A devoted Wife, Mother, Grand Mother and Great Grand Mother, she is survived by her Daughter Paula Concetta Brancato, Her Son, Anthony Thomas Brancato and his wife Cynthia Lynn Brancato; Grandchildren Anthony Salvatore Brancato and his Wife Kerri; Steven James Brancato, his fiance Rita Romeo; and Christopher Louis Brancato; Great Grandchildren Hayley Madison Brancato and Cecelia Rose Brancato; Sister Clara Siano; and several nephews and neices. Her beloved Husband Sebastian, Brother Salvatore Sapia and Sister Jean Sapia Rose pre deceased her.

Pauline's hobbies included crocheting, singing, listening to music, playing guitar and tap dancing. She was an avid member of the Milford Connecticut Senior Center and often performed at hospitals, nursing homes, and local events. She was a volunteer at the Creedmore Instution in Queens Village NY, assisting the severely disabled and mentally challenged.

In Lieu of flowers, contributions in honor of Pauline's memory can be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Judes Research Children's Hospital.
