Vera Garcia, age 94 of Orange, passed away November 17, 2019 at Connecticut Hospice, Branford. Vera was born in New Haven, October 23, 1925, daughter of the late Salvatore and Marietta Pucci Coppola. Before her retirement, Vera was the owner and operator of Discoveries Boutique for many years. She was a parishioner of Holy Infant Church and enjoyed reading, cooking, and playing cards. She is survived by her beloved husband Raymond Garcia, her daughter Maria Weitzman and her husband Richard of Hurley, NY, her sister Phyllis Merola of New Haven, her brothers John Coppola of New Haven, and Frank Coppola and his wife Judith of Wallingford, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Vera was predeceased by her sisters Rae Montesi and her twin sister Sophie Raccuia, her brothers Paul Coppola and Anthony (Tondo) Coppola, and half-brother Salvatore Coppola, Jr. Calling hours are Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 9:00am to 11:00am at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30am in Holy Infant Church in Orange. Interment will follow in Orange Center Cemetery. Family and friends are invited back to Grassy Hill Country Club for a reception.
