Obituary for Charles Edward Kramer

Charles Edward Kramer, 71, of Souderton, PA; formerly of North Branford, CT went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 30, 2018 at Souderton Mennonite Homes. He was the loving husband of the late Arlis Ruth (Johnson) Kramer for 39 years. Charles was born in Pottstown, Pennsylvania to the late Charles Edward Kramer, Sr. and the late Eleta (Frye) Kramer. He graduated from Owen J. Roberts High School in Pottstown, PA. Charles graduated from Nyack College in Nyack, NY, class of 1971. He then graduated from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, MA, class of 1974. From 1983-1986, Charles worked as a territory sales representative for Scully Brothers of New England Inc. in Newton Highlands, MA. From 1987-2018, he worked as a sales representative for Midstate Tool and Supply Inc. in Altoona, PA. From 1995-2017, Charles also worked as a service writer for Travel Centers of America in Branford, CT. From 1976-2003, he was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Milford, CT where he sang in the church choir and served on the missions board. From 2003-2017, Charles was a member of Grace Reformed Baptist Church in East Haven, CT. He was a current member of the Reformed Baptist Church of Franconia, PA. Charles enjoyed music, singing, playing the handbells, and cards especially Rook. He also enjoyed ping pong, watching football, attending his children’s concerts, and words with friends. Charles was a humble, kind, generous man who was a man of God, enjoyed fellowshipping with others, and had a good sense of humor. He is survived by his two daughters, Karin Eleta Foley & husband, William, of East Bridgewater, MA, Lisa Ruth Brown & husband, William, of North Olmsted, OH; his son, David Charles Kramer & wife, Tiffany of Ivyland, PA; his seven granddaughters – Kierstin, Elizabeth, Annika, Charlotte, Lydia, Klara, & Juliet; his step-brother, Allen McIntyre & wife, Barbara of Harleysville, PA; and his step-sister, Faye Bishop & husband, Clifford of Harleysville, PA.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Smith Funeral Home, 135 Broad Street, Milford, Connecticut, 06460. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Grace Reformed Baptist Church, 1225 North High Street, East Haven, Connecticut, 06512. Interment to follow at Kings Highway Cemetery in Milford, CT A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 10:30 am at Souderton Mennonite Homes, 207 W.
