Constance V. Schutter, age 88, of Milford, passed away in Milford Hospital on Sunday, November 10, 2018. She was born on April 25, 1930 in the Bronx, NY to the late Arthur and Christine Dujka Krulish. Before retiring, she worked in the engineering department at Alinabal. She will be remembered for her devotion to her family, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, her famous New York Cheesecake, and for her compassion for people. Mrs. Schutter is survived by her loving daughters Wendy Vernal (Don) of Milford and Karen McDonald (Paul) of Dudley, MA, grandchildren Trevor Vernal (Nicole) and Dana Vernal (fiancée Niko), Joshua McDonald (Shannon) and Seth McDonald (Alyssa), her great grandchildren Mikayla, Macy and Logan McDonald and Lennox Vernal, and her lifelong friend Marylou Cassidy and her devoted godchildren Bridget Kessman, Matthew and Paul Cassidy. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Ernest O. Schutter. The family wishes to thank her companion/friend Shandra and Christine Grace and a special thanks to Debbie for their compassionate care. Calling hours are Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 5pm to 8pm at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford. Interment will be private.
