Condolence: My Dad, Leroy Doolittle, LOVED Richard Joseph Wiedl (he always called him)and he always admired Rick's strength and courage & respectfulness as a young student of his. That was long before I/we got to know Rick later on--coaching with my Rick, his really awesome and creative methods of scouting reports, SVS camps (GREAT memories), educator stories shared, his pride in his family-the boys and Susan; firemens' testing (what a task!!!),talking about all the mutual friends we have - will miss him but most of all we will miss his great attitude and SMILE--he ALWAYS showed interest in whatever you had to say - always. Inspirational man - great person--I was counting on that coffee on his deck the first day of school when I don't have to go back - he described that first day of retirement like no one else. God Bless you Rick - your smile lives on in our hearts.

Condolence: To Susan and the entire family, With you, I am feeling a great personal loss with my coach's passing. I never could have guessed that this wonderful man would leave such a lasing impression on my life when he was my coach and teacher. I feel blessed to have had the time and attention of Mr. Wiedl during my years at Foran High. You should all know that his was a life that truly made a difference.

Condolence: Our deepest, heartfelt sympathies for you at this time of loss. Mr. Wiedl taught at Foran HS when my sister, Susan and I were there during the 70’s. He was a strong disciplinarian whom we respected. He was an amazingly dedicated teacher. He was kind enough to attend the class of 1976 Tri-Class 40th Reunion in 2016. He shared military stories with my significant other, Tom Morgan and we will forever remember that last time Tom and I spoke with him at the reunion. In time, may your family find peace in the warm memories of Rick Wield.

Condolence: Such a deep sadness. A truly good human being. Was my biology teacher for junior and senior year of high school. A truly good human being. I have thought of him many times over the years and used him as an example on many occasions as I raised my own 3 children. He was always pushing me harder ... and today I am grateful he did ! Rest in peace πŸ™πŸ»
