Ralph G. Vitale, Jr., age 76 of Milford, beloved husband of Regine Rossius Vitale, died June 16, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Ralph was born in Jersey City, NJ, July 19, 1941, son of the late Ralph Sr. and Ruth Hellum Vitale. Ralph was a veteran of the US Army who served in Vietnam, and later in Berlin, Germany. He was a teacher in the Greenwich school system for many years until his retirement. He taught and coached thousands of people who will carry on his memory. He will be greatly missed by his family, his friends, and all those who were fortunate enough to have known him. Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons Nils Vitale and his wife Amanda of Milford and Dylan Vitale of Derby, his grandchild Adrian Vitale, his brother Michael Vitale and his wife Dawn of Belchertown, MA, and his nephews Nathan and Justin Vitale. Calling hours will be held Friday June 22, 2018 from 4pm to 7pm at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 N. Broad St., Milford. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation at www.michaeljfox.org or to a charity of one’s choice.
