Shirley L. Lang, age 83, a lifelong Milford resident, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 in Branford. She was born on May 6, 1935 to the late Joseph and Ethel Hotchkiss Daniels and graduated from Milford High School in 1953. Before retiring, she was employed as a secretary for Cuzz Acres. An active member of the community, she was a past president for the Women’s Club, volunteer at Milford Hospital for over 35 years, served as worthy advisor for the Rainbow Girls and was a member of the Milford Senior Center. She also enjoyed reading, crocheting, and camping. Mrs. Lang is survived by her loving husband, of 63 years, Joseph Lang, daughters Susan Lang of Derby and Barbara Beauchamp and her husband Gary of Milford, grandchildren Jennifer Bishop of Oxford, Joseph Marshall stationed in Guam, Elizabeth and Kristina Beauchamp of Milford, great grandchildren Erin, Bella and Emma Bishop along with several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Virginia May Lang, grandsons Jeremy Marshall and Gary Beauchamp, II and sister Jean Nardini. Her family would like to give special thanks to the Connecticut Blind Organization of New Britain. Calling hours are TODAY, Friday, May 25, 2018 from 4pm to 8pm at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 Broad St., Milford. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 26th DIRECTLY at St. Peter’s Church, 71 River St., Milford at 9am. Interment will follow in Kings Highway Cemetery.
