Obituary for Beverly June Pierpont

Beverly June Pierpont, age 89, a lifelong Milford resident passed away on Friday, May 4, 2018 in Connecticut Hospice. She was born on June 1, 1928 to the late Berkley and Dorothy Plumb Bray. Before starting her family, she was employed at Wayside Furniture as the head of perpetual inventory. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Beverly was a skilled seamstress and quilter and loved sewing for her daughters and family. She taught quilting classes and made many lifelong friends who shared her passion. She was very active in the community, especially with Mary Taylor Memorial United Methodist Church where she organized donations for their Trash and Treasures sale for most of the past 25 years. Mrs. Pierpont is survived by her dedicated daughters Michele Lapadula and her husband Dennis and Stacy Meszaros and her husband Bob all of Milford, sister Catherine Tomek and her husband Warren of Madison and grandchildren Stephen Meszaros and his wife Emily, Alicia Meszaros, Catherine Meszaros, Hayley Lapadula and Ryan Lapadula. Mrs. Pierpont is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband James Richard Pierpont, sister Nancy Anton and nephew Mark Anton. Calling hours are Thursday, May 10, 2018 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 N Broad St., Milford. Interment will be private. Donations may be made in her name to Mary Taylor Memorial United Methodist Church, Smilow Cancer Hospital, or CT Hospice.
