Gary Michael Schock, age 43, of Milford, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 9, 2018, in his home. Born on May 24, 1974, son of Richard A. and Kathleen Bica Schock, he grew up in Stratford and graduated from Bunnell High School. He was employed as a carpenter and framer for A. C. Carpentry for most of his life. A devoted son, brother and uncle, he will be remembered as an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, a guitar enthusiast with a love for the Blues, a soft spot for stray cats and a philosophical aspect on life. Besides his parents, he is survived by his brother Richard A. Schock, Jr. and his wife Stephanie of Easton, sisters Jeanne Schock and her spouse Shawn Towey of Phoenixville, PA and Cynthia Schock and her husband David Bristol of Clarksburg, MA, nephews Brandon Schock and Jacob Bristol, nieces Ruth and Joy Bristol, several cousins and many friends including Kevin, Kurt and Bill. Calling hours are Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 4pm to 8pm at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 N Broad St., Milford. A funeral service will be held in St. Peter’s Church, 71 River St., Milford at 11am on Friday, March 16th. Interment will follow in Kings Highway Cemetery.
