Janet L. Ryan, age 83, a lifelong Milford resident, passed away in her home on Wednesday, February 14, 2018. Born on October 17, 1934, she was the daughter of the late LeRoy and Elizabeth Hubay Cole. Before retiring, she was employed by Stevens Ford as a bookkeeper and a member of the Milford Senior Center. Janet will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed tag sales. She is survived by her sons Keith Ryan and his wife Karen of Seymour and David Ryan of Milford, grandchildren Kyle and his wife Meaghan, Leah and her fiancée Aaron Pawluk and Gregory, great granddaughter Adelaide, brothers Raymond and Alan Cole both of Milford. A special thank you to Elaine Casey. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her devoted husband William D. Ryan and sister Arlene Rice. Calling hours are Tuesday February 20, 2018 from 4pm to 8pm at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 N Broad St., Milford, with a prayer service during the visitation at 7:30pm. Interment will be private.
