Audrey C. Ross, age 96, of Monroe passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2018 in her home surrounded by family. She was born on August 30, 1921 in Brush Valley, PA to the late Merle and Georgia Beale Campbell. She received her Doctorate from Penn State. An active member of the community, she was a member of the Audubon Society, the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Historical and Genealogical Society of Indiana, PA. Audrey will be remembered for her love of sewing, doing genealogy and bird watching. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she is survived by her children, Larry Ross (Lisa) of Monroe, Norman Ross (Terry) of Putnam, Lewis Ross (Julie) of Billings, MT and Kim Ross of Royal Palm Beach FL, brother Edwin Campbell, sister Janel Wright, eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and five great, great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband Lewis Ross, 2 brothers, and 1 sister. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, February 15. 2018 at 2pm in the State Veteran’s Cemetery in Middletown. Smith Funeral Home, 135 N Broad St., Milford is handling the arrangements.
