Christine E. Gritsko Libby, age 65, of Milford passed away unexpectedly in her home on Tuesday, February 06, 2018. Daughter of the late Francis and Evelyn Lancia Gritsko, she was born on February 24, 1952 in Bridgeport. Before retiring, she was employed as a social worker for Orange Health Care. An active member of the community, she was past president of Milford JC Women along with volunteering and coaching the Milford Elks Pop Warner Cheerleaders. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, she will be remembered as an avid gardener and Red Sox fan and her dedication to her grandchildren and her dogs. Family and friends will miss her kindness. Mrs. Libby is survived by her loving husband Lenn Libby, daughter Lauren DeSantis and her husband Jeffrey of Milford, brother Francis Gritsko and his wife Isabel Larruscain, sister Diane Marshall of Milford, grandchildren Arthur Rossi, Ava DeSantis and Allie DeSantis and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Friday, February 9, 2018 from 5 pm to 8pm at the Smith Funeral Home, 135 N Broad St., Milford. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 10th at St. Ann’s Church, Naugatuck Ave., Milford at 9am. Interment will follow in Kings Highway Cemetery.
